Well, I realize I’ve been missing a few days here and there, and lately not having a lot to write about.
But today makes up for lost time! Many things made me happy today, including the amazing sunshine!
I spent the afternoon digging and weeding the garden, but it still looks messy. Oh well, some more manure, a bit of water, and I’ll get the seeds in soon.
We had a Dr. appointment for my little guy this afternoon, found out we need an ortho consult. Since he started walking, he seems to drag his right foot sideways a little. Hoping and praying it’s nothing serious.
We then had some playtime with both boys over at grandma and grandpas, and had fun swimming in the backyard.
A beautiful evening has been spent outside. Beginning with grilling some Tuna to a perfect medium rare, along with peppers and zucchini. Some wine, and eating on the patio. Ahh, summer, I think you’re here!
Now, kids in bed, husband working on our basement renos, and I’m sipping another glass of red on the patio.
Also enjoying a few moments with my faithful beagle. We prepare to say goodbye to him soon, as I think his illness is getting worse. But seeing him roll around definitely makes me happy.
So happy to take this guy for a walk!
I love the smell of these little blossoms on my plum tree. We have an apple tree and a plum tree in our backyard. They each produce fruit every other year. This year is plums! We also have the most amazing raspberry bush. I can’t wait to get some veggies in the garden, although I never have the best luck. Each year I try, and I’m just happy with whatever comes up!
stopped quickly after work to grab some goodies at the local LB ( liquor board store). The kind gentleman working politely asked for ID. I got my wallet and said “sorry, did you actually ask for this or am I imagining things?”
Well, feel pretty good to be possibly taken for under 25!!
Finding a new series of books! Being a huge mystery fan, I’m not sure why I have not read these earlier!?? Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Milhone alphabet mysteries are Amazing. Everything I want in a book. Great protagonist, fast paced reading. Taking place in 1980’s California adds to the charm. I wonder how long it will take me to make it through the alphabet.
Out at the Silver Spoon dinner. Alan Thicke was our guest speaker.
Always a fun night out!
Happy Mother’s Day! I’m blessed with 2 amazing boys. I also have a wonderful mother, and mother in law in my life.
Being a mom is a lot of hard work, but it brings me indescribable joy.
